Cavs vs. Hawks 2/8/08

Jeremy, Jack and I went to the Cavs / Hawks game last night. We took MARTA down to Philips, A.K.A "the highlight factory"... NOT! We had a great time and best part Cavs won! Here's a shot of Jerms and Jack on the train (left).

Jack got a bit frustrated as we couldn't get cotton candy where we were sitting. I finally asked the usher if there was any place we could get cotton candy he told me on the other side of the arena. I then went to the exit and had forgotten my ticket stub and had to go all the way back down to the seats and asked Jack if he could wait until half time. He wasn't happy... in fact he wouldn't talk to me; he told me I was a meany! You can tell he isn't too happy with me in the foto to the right.

He then came up with the excuse that he had to go to the bathroom and while we were up there we should go grab the cotton candy. We grabbed the tickets stubs went out of the restricted access area and over to the main concession stands. Looked for cotton candy for about 10 mins and finally saw a lady holding a bag of it. She told us where we could buy some and by that time it was half time. We made our way back to the seats and Jack was in Cotton Candy nirvana!!! These pictures don't do him justice!!! He had cotton candy all over himself, me and the dude in front of us! Jeremy kept his together pretty well!

Overall it was a great night. We got to see the Cavs play and watch a very talented basketball player. Watching Lebron last night I was amazed how he can take a game over. He is no Jordan, yet, but he has the potential. I do miss the days of Magic and Bird; maybe someday! There's always ESPN Classic!!!

The train ride home was long, we got home around midnight and the boys both dreamed basketball.

Jack also had his baseball tryouts today. He did awesome. In my personal opinion he was one of the top 3 players. It will be a new challenge as he will not have Coach Phil this year. We are really going to miss his positive approach and hope his new coach has a similar approach.

Jeremy will be playing soccer. This will be his 1st season and he is really excited. I think his tryouts are some time this week. I will post photos of the boys as their seasons roll on.

One quick edit to this morning's post. Eric reminded me that while at Mom and Dad's he left some tuna and mouthwash. He claims I "liberated" them with malice. I say more like Mom asked me to take them home as they already had enought tuna. She also asked me to take the contraband "Miracle Whip" home with me... I couldn't stand to have it in the car; I was also concerned I might be breaking the law by crossing state lines. Mom is still puzzled how any of her offspring can even stomach "Miracle Whip"!!! I admit I told Mom to toss the 2 gallon container of "MW" you bought while there in the trash; best place for it.

Hi Darrell-
It was good to hear from you! It's been a few years.
What a great family you have. Jeremy looks a lot like you, I think.
I'm so glad you are happy and doing well.

Take Care,
Susan
